                          Refund Policy
In certain cases and within certain limits, a permit fee may be refunded if the
permitted work will not be completed.

  No refund can be made for any permit or plan check fee with a fee collected of
       $69.75 or less.
  If the work has not started, 50% of the permit fee amount over $69.75 ,
       minus a $26.75 processing fee may be refunded. However, the total amount
       may not exceed $132.50 . State surcharges are deducted separately.
  If the authorized work has been started, the department may retain an
       appropriate portion of the permit fee in addition to the $132.50
       maximum.
  A full refund will be made if the department is in error.

Submit written explanation of refund request within 180 calandar days of payment
of the permit fee. Request refunds by fax (612-370-1416) or mail to, Attention
Refund, Minneapolis Development Review, 250 - 4th St S, Public Service Center,
Minneapolis, MN 55415.

Refunds are paid by check only. It takes 4 to 6 weeks for a refund check to be issued.
