EAVE – Workshop 3 2006 in Estonia
EAVE is pleased to announce that Tallinn will be the location of the 3rd and last EAVE workshop in
2006 from October 16-23 in partnership with Baltic Event. This workshop will be the culmination of a
year’s work during which 50 participants from 17 European countries enhanced their production
skills and developed their projects - 27 projects in total reflecting a rich diversity of subject material and
genres. Following workshops 1 & 2 in Luxembourg (L) and Krems (AT), this workshop focuses on the
direct contact with the international marketplace through one-to-one encounters with key decision
makers: leading commissioning editors, financiers, buyers from sales and distribution companies and
other strategic partners. These pitching sessions offer the participants concrete marketing possibilities
for their projects in a non-competitive environment.

Roberto Olla will hold a plenary session on the legal aspects of distribution. Also on the programme is a
special documentary plenary by guest expert Tue Steen Mueller (DK) as well as a panel on Eastern
European Cinema with Amra Baksic-Camo (BA), Karlo Funk (EE) and Manfred Schmidt (D).
We will also present some of EAVE’s partners from the leading international co-production
markets in a panel: Special guests Bianca Taal (CineMart), Nadia Dresti (Locarno Open Doors),
Amra Baksic-Camo (Cinelink), Sonja Heinen (Berlinale Co-production Market), Riina Sildos (Baltic
Event) and Linda Beath (Crossroads Thessaloniki) will talk about the opportunities these events offer.
Last but not least, EAVE will turn the spotlight on film production in and with Estonia: Three
screening nights featuring the top of Estonian audiovisual and animation industry presented by the key
producers and representatives from Estonia. These special screenings will feature documentary THE ART
OF SELLING by Jaak Kilmi and Andres Maimik, feature REVOLUTION OF PIGS by Rene Reinumägi
and Jaak Kilmi and an animation evening presenting the BEST OF ESTONIAN ANIMATION.
As usually, local producers are welcome to attend the plenary sessions. In addition, a special “Mini-
EAVE” will be organised. At this occasion, local professionals have the opportunity to attend special
sessions by EAVE experts Sibylle Kurz, Roberto Olla and Laurence Kaye. The Mini-EAVE will take
