							Arne Trageton (Norway) was an associate
professor in education from 1981 at the
Haugesund University College, Teacher Education
in Stord. He worked for 33 years in teacher
education, now he is retired. He was leader of
postgraduate one-year courses in education for
teaching 6-10 year old children. He participated in
several research projects in constructional play,
role play 1-7 and for 6-10 year olds, for example,
Writing to Read; - Playful computer writing in four
Nordic countries (1999-2002), a textbook for
teacher education (2002-2010) which has been
translated into Danish, Swedish, and Finnish. He
has been active in further implementation and
research stimulation in the Nordic countries and
beyond.

His   main    research   interests   are:   play,
preschool/lower primary education, and ICT.
