Am Jur 2d restricts footnote references to major cases. The set has both a general index and individual volume indexes. Check the New Topic Services binder for the most recent subject additions. American Law Reports (A.L.R.) Covers major cases from state and federal jurisdictions. Since each annotation reprints a featured case and includes additional case reference for purposes of comparison or support, this series is useful when beginning research into cases. California Jurisprudence (CalJur) Covers all facets of California Law and provides references to case and statutory law. Corpus Juris Secundum (C.J.S.) Is a comprehensive overview of the law with footnote references to case law from all state jurisdictions. Some topics include West key numbers. C.J.S. has general index volumes plus separate topic indexes within most volumes. Summary of California Law (Witkin) Examines every major substantive subject of California statutory and decisional law including coverage of federal constitutional law and many specialty subjects not generally covered general titles. Detailed references are given to all major works, treatises, and law reviews including California Civil Practice, Am Jur Trials, CEB, other Witkin works, and BAJI. References are also make to the Restatements, Am Jur 2d, A.L.R., and Uniform Laws Annotated.
