December 4, 2007 2nd Annual Sea Isle Family Feud was big winner Sea Isle City – Before a large crowd cheering them on, twenty teams competed in the Family Feud Game sponsored by the Sea Isle City Recreation Department on November 30 at the Community Lodge. Teams were asked questions based on a survey sent to 100 local residents. The correct answers were based on the most responses to each question, or "The Survey Says!" Questions varied from favorite movies, food, television shows, local businesses, and local historical persons and places. The winning teams included The Home Team, 5 Ladies, First Bank of Sea Isle City, Park Roaders, and the following families: Iannone, Miller, Gardner, Stearne, and LaRosa. Winning teams took home prizes ranging from gift certificates from local businesses to tickets for sporting events. Hosting Family Feud was Mike Boyle, well-known local actor and contractor. There was even a game board and a buzzer board just like in the TV show. Event leader Nicole Holt kept the contest moving quickly, and Boyle added humor that had the audience laughing. As an entry fee, teams prepared delicious food, enjoyed by contestants and the audience. Although they did not win, the Top Ten Book Club of Sea Isle City showed up as the "Golden Capers." There was no prize for costumes, but from the audience reaction, it was clear that the "Golden Capers" were winners. The program was such a success that the recreation department has agreed again to make Family Feud an annual event. "If you missed it and heard what a fun and informative event it was, you will just have to wait until next year," said Holt, who has turned down pleas to have another Family Feud game soon.
