Dear Colleague:
This course “How to Write a Compliant Stormwater Pollution/Prevention Plan” will walk you through
the requirements in the Construction General Permit (CGP). This is information that should be contained in
the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). It will present the different erosion and sediment
control devices as well as pollution prevention devices as to where they should and should not be placed.
How to prepare the construction sequence and the different forms necessary will also be presented. The
class wraps up with design do’s and don’ts and references to help provide information on products and what
is happening in this fast paced industry.
This is a beginner’s class for those who want to prepare SWPPPs that will be compliant with the
regulations and for those who want to learn about all the latest and greatest devices and products available
for use in the SWPPP. This class will benefit engineers, project managers, superintendents, state, county and
municipal agency personnel, and consultants.
Please complete and return the enclosed registration form. A fee of $125.00 per person should be mailed
with your registration. Payment may be made by phone or fax if paying with Visa, MasterCard, Discover,
American Express, or government agency purchase order. Registrants are reminded that registration is
not complete until payment is made. The registration fee includes handout materials, break refreshments,
lunch and a certificate of participation. Thank you for your continued support of the Alabama Technology
Transfer Center. Larry Sellers, Garry Havron and I look forward to your attendance at this seminar.
