Note: The PittNet Complete CD is not compatible with Windows 7. You can manually connect your Windows 7 computer to
Wireless PittNet.

A valid University Computer Account
The PittNet Complete CD is available at all campus computing labs and at 204 Bellefield Hall.
Installing the CD
1. Uninstall your current anti-virus software. If you are a Windows user, click Start, then Control Panel, and then Add or Remove
Programs. Click on your anti-virus software in the list of programs and then click the Remove button.

Connecting to Another Wireless Network with Windows XP
The PittNet Complete CD installs the Cisco Secure Services client on Windows XP so that they can connect easily to Wireless PittNet.
If you would like to use a different wireless service from somewhere outside the University’s network, you will need to disable the
Cisco Secure Services client before connecting to that service. For example, your local coffee shop may offer wireless service, or you
may have a wireless service provider at home, or while traveling you may wish to use wireless service provided in another city.
Note: Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Mac OS X users do not need to use these instructions because the PittNet Complete CD does
not install the Cisco Secure Services client on these operating systems.
To disable the Cisco Secure Services client so that you can use a different wireless service, complete the following steps:
1. Single click the Cisco Secure Services icon.
2. Click Enable Client to deselect it. This will remove the check mark from the listing.
3. After approximately 10 seconds, the Windows Wireless Zero Configuration software will be re-enabled on your computer. You
can use this configuration to connect to another wireless network.
To enable the Cisco Secure Services client to use Wireless PittNet again, complete the following steps:
