FedEx Contract FAQs:
1. Do I have to create a new account for my department, if my department already has an
existing FedEx account?
A. FedEx has transferred all existing account numbers created under the VCU /
VASCUPP contract (now expired) #:340641CM to the E&I contract; those
account numbers will automatically be extended the E&I contract pricing; existing
account numbers that were not established under the VCU / VASCUPP contract
#:340641CM have not been transferred to the E&I contract:
2. How can I verify that my department’s account number has been transferred to the E&I
contract?
A. Contact Mr. Bobby Bledsoe (rdbledsoe@fedex.com) through July 31, 2009;
beginning August 1, 2009, contact Carol McKinley (cemckinl@vcu.edu).
3. How do I create a new FedEx account under the E&I contract?
A. A new account may be established under the E&I contract by completing the
online application found at:
https://www.eandi.org/fedex/application.aspx
It takes approximately four (4) to seven (7) business days to establish a new
FedEx account and you will receive a confirmation email from FedEx.
4. How do I correct account information?
A. Account information may be corrected by:
(1) Sending an email to: govt@fedex.com; or
(2) Calling the Government Hotline (800-645-9424)
5. Can I use a purchase order?
A. No; departments are required to order with a P-card.
6. How can I use my P-card with my account?
A. In order to establish your account with your P-Card, you must contact the FedEx
Billing Hotline (800-622-1147)
(1) Ensure your FedEx account information is updated to reflect the current
P-Card expiration date; FedEx can not process a P-Card order if the P-
Card is expired.
7. How do I obtain supporting documentation for charges to my P-card?
A. The following is a link to FedEx Billing Online site that provides a demo as well
as a place to register for this option. This feature provides individuals with the
ability to pay your invoice with a P-card and the ability to download invoices for
the details of the shipments for reconciliation/charge back purposes.

B. You may need to provide your last 2 FedEx invoice numbers as a security
measure. For assistance, please call Tech Support at 1-877-339-2774 and the
prompt for FedEx.com will direct you to the right team of people to assist you.
8. Should I send my shipment by ground or air?
A. It is more economical to ship using ground services. FedEx provides next day
service to Virginia and 1-2 day service to locations in the eastern part of the
United States. Use the link below to access the map that provides information on
transit days for ground services.

9. What is the contract pricing?
A. Express and ground package delivery pricing information is available through:
http://www.vcu.edu/procurement/FedEx_CEandGPD_Pricing.xls; the rates for
the package and delivery services reflect the net discounted price:
(1) A fuel surcharge will be added to every express and ground delivery
service; the current fuel charge information is available through

10. How often will pricing change?
A. Prices for express and ground package delivery services are firm for twelve (12)
months (e.g. prices are subject to change effective June 1, 2010); the fuel
surcharge is subject to change on a monthly basis.
11. What is the term of the E&I contract?
A. June 1, 2009 – May 31, 2013, with an option for one (1) five (5) year renewal.
12. How do I obtain ground services?
A. You will have to set up a user Id and password at http://www.fedex.com/us/.
Note: FedEx Billing Online users can use the same login information. Once you
have logged in, go to Ship - Prepare Shipment to generate a label and schedule
a pick up. A ground pick up will be made the next business day.

14. How does FedEx help me better manage my shipments?
A. FedEx InSight, through fedex.com, provides users with real-time shipment
visibility so you can manage shipments more efficiently. InSight is available to all
customers free of charge. Locate InSight on fedex.com from the 'Track' tab or
directly at www.fedex.com/insight.
