Hilton Prague and Hilton Prague Old Town
observe Earth Hour 2010 in Support of Energy Conservation

Prague, Czech Republic – March 25 – Hilton Prague and Hilton Prague Old Town plan to mark Earth
Hour 2010 from 8:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. local time on Saturday, March 27, 2010 as people and
organizations around the world turn off their lights in support of action on global climate change. Both
Hilton hotels in Prague and many of the 3,500 hotels that are part of the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of
brands are expected to take part in the event that will mobilize more than one billion people worldwide.

“We are pleased to join in this global effort that galvanizes organizations and individuals around the world
to symbolically switch off their lights in support of energy conservation,“ said Markéta Šebková
spokeswoman of Hilton Prague and Hilton Prague Old Town. “We encourage our guests and cooperating
companies to join in on the movement,” she added.

Earth Hour will be celebrated at Hilton Prague and Hilton Prague Old Town through a variety of activities
including:

 Switching off main building exterior lighting and rooftop neon signage
 Dimming of interior lights in lobby, room corridors and reception areas
 Dimming lights in the restaurants and bar and hosting candle-lit dinners
 Encouraging guests to switch off their room lights
 Half of the elevators in the back area will be switched off
 Disconnecting air handling unit for entire hotel

Organized by World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Earth Hour began in 2007 as a way for individuals to show how
simple steps can make a significant impact on reducing greenhouse gases and addressing climate
change. The event has turned into a movement. Global landmarks such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge,
The CN Tower in Toronto, The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and Rome’s Colosseum have all
turned off their lights in solidarity. In 2009, over 4000 cities in 88 countries officially turned off and dimmed
lights to pledge their support for the planet.

This year Hilton Worldwide announced it will make measuring sustainability a global brand standard
through efforts to integrate sustainability as a measure of hotel performance. In doing so, the company is
able to measure the impact of all 3,500 hotels within its portfolio and has developed industry-leading tools
that allow properties to track monthly utility consumption, cost data and operational performance.
