According to Werle, DDR's director, Alex Timbers, wanted a set with a "post-apocalyptic, neo-Gothic, futuristic universe/dance club" feel. "[...] we punched windows in the walls and hung silk wallpaper for an opulent supper club lounge in Souvenir," recalls Sass.
