The triennial Chemical Engineering, Environmental Protection and Biotechnology show, ACHEMA,
will take place in Frankfurt from the 11-15 May. But, with the current economic depression there were
fears the show would become a casualty. However, this has proven to be far from the case, as this

Aseptic BFS Machine for PE/PP Infusion-Bottles
rommelag (Hall 3.0, Stand B12–C17), the inventor of BFS (Blow-Fill-Seal) technology, is
the worldwide leading manufacturer and supplier of BFS bottelpack aseptic machines
for the packaging of sterile liquids, creams and ointments. The increasingly demanding
requirements of international pharmaceutical customers are continuously being met by
newly developed strategies and ongoing developments. As a leading manufacturer of
packaging equipment, rommelag designs, develops and
manufactures its machines — step by step — from the
design of the packaging system to conceptualizing the next
generation of products. The bottelpack machines are
both cGMP and FDA compliant.
bottelpack aseptic machines are designed in a
modular structure and have an integrated Class
A cleanroom (US Class 100) with additional dark/
white-machine separation. The fully automatic
machines work either in cycles — with one or two
moulds — or continuously, with rotating mould
chains, and are CIP/SIP-compatible. The machine
capacities vary depending on the product to be
filled and the container design used; up to 30,000
containers per hour, ranging from 0.1 mL to more than
1000 mL, can be filled. The filling of each container,
using the time-pressure-dosing system, is extremely
accurate and plastic materials such as polyethylene
(LDPE, MDPE and HDPE), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene
terephthalate (PET) and others can all be accommodated.
With bottelpack CoEx machines, we manufacture multilayer
containers with barrier layers for the packaging of supersensitive products. In the new
generation of BFS bottelpack machines, all the hydraulic drives were replaced with
electronic servodrives that have further improved process reliability. For customer-specific
container and closure developments, as well as for test and contract filling, our own
laboratory test and production facilities are at your disposal. FATs, SATs and machine
validation are all part of the service. rommelag is DIN EN ISO 9001:2000-certified. Visit for more information. bottelpack aseptic BFS machine type 362
