SOUTH GEORGIA MOTORSPORTS PARK, Cecil, Ga. (May 29-30) —
The raceway hosted the latest Southeastern Motorcycle Drag Racing Association
event. Bikes from all over the Southeast came out to participate in the eighth-
Travis Davis was the No. 1 qualifier in the 12-bike Pro Mod Cycle field. In the
final, Davis ran low e.t. of the event with a 4.252 to defeat Lance Hines’ 4.33.
Carlos Wilkerson was the semifinalist.
Twenty-seven bikes faced off in Top Gas 5.10 Index. Curtis Clark earned the
win over Robin Procopio when Procopio broke out. Clark ran a 5.116.
Deshawn Wheeler topped the 35-bike Super Comp field, defeating John
Falciglia in the final with a 5.624 (5.60 index). Falciglia recorded a 5.698.
In Ultra Street action, Terry Singleton outlasted Tim Patrick, who broke out
with a 5.991 on a 6.00 index. Singleton scored the win with a 6.042.
After six rounds of racing, the Super Street final came down to Stanley Russell
and Thomas Whytas. Russell finished ahead of Whytas in the double-breakout affair.
