Banks certainly makes some sharp comments about immigration, about America's being a destination for people from abroad to start over and put down roots. [...] the general pattern has been for immigrants to allow themselves to be assimulated- with one major exception, the Cubans of Miami, who saw themselves as coming to the United States only to escape Fidel's communistic regime while always harboring dreams of returning "home."
