The number of books addressing American culture topics continues to proliferate, and Ray Browne, this journal's book review editor, attempts to run reviews of as many of them as possible, even if some reviews are short due to our space limitations, in order to keep our readers informed and support academic publishers and writers who present the information, observations, reflections, and ideas necessary to sustain lively intellectual dialogue.
