Customized AiDA views
Customized AiDA views for UN ICT Task Force and DFID. Both demonstrate how AiDA content can be leveraged to meet the needs of different audiences. This service enables organizations to provide access to information in their sites and avoid large investments in building their own infrastructure.
Trade Capacity Building window
AiDA window to OECD-WTO Trade Capacity Building database provide complementary view with additional metadata and tools to analyze data.
DG provides added value through presentation and reporting tools that enable analysis and provide insight about trade activities.

Country Gateways: The Example of Australia
Role of Country Gateways In Donor Coordination
Case Study – Romania Country Gateway
Current Status:
- Analyzed donor demand for project data and assessed local data availability - Started developing a demo project information database using AiDA technology and a sample of AiDA records about Romania
Next Steps:
- Turn the demo into a full scale local project database, based on donors’ user feedback and support - Integrate the project database with other Country Gateway portal components (local dgMarket, NGO database, development content)
- Facilitate the two way exchange of data (global/AiDA and country level project data)
M&E and Aid Coordination
Additional Tools Facilitating coordination among agencies, at country level and at regional level Platforms for monitoring MDGs

Monitoring Policies for achieving the MDGs
The Global Monitoring Platform
Created in response to request from the Development Committee in cooperation with partners Focus on two main facets of a development strategy: (a) creating a good investment climate—macro and trade policies, public sector governance, private sector and infrastructure policies; (b) empowering and investing in poor people—human capital development, social protection, inclusion; plus the environment
The platform can provide a framework for benchmarking performance of developing and developed countries It can assist improving the effectiveness of relevant policies affecting the MDGs Currently, work is underway in the identification of relevant policies and the most effective activities, for each target
Final Remarks
ICT: Not a “silver bullet” for aid coordination, but it can enable useful tools to advance this agenda; The experience of the Development Gateway underscores: The importance of leadership and long-term commitment; The advantages of standard setting in a networked environment; The critical role of trust among stakeholders; The importance of complementing donor coordinated efforts with investments in capacity building that support ownership of systems at country level.
