[...] many of today's newest soldiers enlisted not despite the potential for deployment, but because of it. In order to ensure our continued success, however, we need to continue to work with our legislators and press the Army's senior leaders to equip us adequately to perform our warfighting and homeland security missions. Many of our states and territories have established a system of early Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) in order to shape their mobilizing formations and prepare their soldiers for success at the mobilization station.\n With the establishment of the Premobilization Training Assistance Elements, our adjutants general now have a cadre of Guardsmen through which we have the ability and authority to certify our own premobilization training.
