Fuerte Single Dump Assembly Instructions:
The following pages will show you how to assemble the dumps and plumbing for your Fuerte pump. Please take note that the fittings in the photos have not been Teflon taped and are only “hand tight” for the purpose of showing the proper assembly. When you assemble your set-up all pipe thread connections should be Teflon taped and the fittings should be thoroughly tightened to prevent leaking. First lay all of the parts of the dump assembly out so that they can be easily located throughout the assembly process.
The dump assembly can be divided into 2 sections, the pressure side and the return side. The pressure side (shown here) should be assembled first.
The first connection of the pressure fittings is the 1” to 1” elbow fitting going into the 1” check valve. This is a very crucial connection because if the check valve is installed backwards the pump will not raise the car and the pump head could easily be damaged by the pressure. Inside the checkvalve there is a 3 pointed retainer piece in one end and a flat piston in the other. The 1” elbow should be screwed into the end of the checkvalve with the flat piston.
After the check valve you will need to install the 1” /#16/#16 Tee as shown.
Next the #16 to #8 nipple /nut needs to be installed on the “side” of the tee.
The #16 to #12 nipple/nut then needs to be installed on the “end” of the tee.
Once these pressure fittings are assembled they need to be threaded into the 1” pressure port on the pump block. Spin the assembly into the block until it is tight.
Next you need to assemble the dump (or return) side of the dump assembly. The first step will be to screw the 3/8m to #8 swivels fitting into the side of the Italian dump as show.
On the opposite side of the dump the 3/8 plug needs to be installed.
The 3/8 to 1/4 fitting then needs to be screwed into the bottom of the dump.
The ¼” slowdown threads onto the ¼ end of the 3/8 to ¼ fitting coming out of the dump.
The ¼ to #6 straight fitting then needs to be threaded into the ¼ slowdown as shown.
The assembled dump can now be installed onto the pressure fittings previously installed on the pump. To do this install screw the #8 female side of the swivel fitting into the #8 end coming from the tee as shown.
Next screw the 3/8 to #6 elbow fitting into the return on the same side of the block as the dump and tighten making sure that the #6 side faces the motor. (Note- there is a return port on each side of the block, screw the 3/8 plug into the port on the other side of the block.)
The final step is to install the 14” #6 return hose onto the elbow coming out of the side of the block and the straight fitting coming from the slowdown valve.
