Laoshir Ray Abeyta is the founder of the Texas School of Tai Chi & Healing in El Paso, Texas, former Three Time National Tai Chi Champion in Push Hands and Form and Official Tai Chi Teacher for the El Paso Fire Dept. He has nearly 20 years experience in teaching Tai Chi & nearly 35 years in martial arts training. He is a contributor to many magazines & periodicals including Inside Kung Fu Magazine. Laoshir Rick Barrett Any serious student of Taijiquan should be familiar with Rick Barrett’s name. He is a senior student of Grandmaster William C. C. Chen and also studies Chen Style Taijiquan and Xingyiquan with Master Yang, Fukui. As a push hands competitor, Rick dominated his weight division in the late 1990’s, becoming middleweight national champion and US Kuoshu Champion in the unlimited division. Since retiring from active competition, he is well known for his workshops around the country, and has written articles for Inside Kung Fu. He is also Registered Polarity Therapist.

Laoshir Jeff Bolt has over 30 years of experience in the Chinese martial arts. He is a senior student to Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming and has co-authored two books with him. He has promoted and organized more than a dozen national and international tournaments since 1986, when he held the first all-Chinese martial arts tournament at the national level. He was inducted into the Inside Kung Fu Magazine’s Hall of Fame in 1988 for his Outstanding Contributions to Martial Arts. He has been active in many organizations and has been the guiding spirit behind cooperative efforts in the U.S. to organize Chinese martial arts for the betterment of the art and for the benefit of its practitioners. Mr. Bolt has chaired the U.S. National Chinese Martial Arts Competitions and been Team Leader and Fighting Coach for U.S. teams in two World Wushu Tournaments. He has also promoted, organized, and judged at numerous tournaments at all levels and was Chairman of the 1995 World Wushu Championships, the International Wushu Federation’s event in Baltimore, Maryland.

Laoshir Jake Burroughs is a 16 year practitioner of the martial and healing arts,
who now runs the Three Harmonies Chinese Martial Arts Center in Seattle, WA. A student of Tim Cartmell’s in Xing Yi, and Sun Taiji, Jake is also the third disciple of Hu Xi Lin’s in the art’s of Plum Blossom and Six Harmonies Praying Mantis Boxing. Dedicated to preserving the arts as they were taught to him, Jake utilizes modern day applications to the traditional arts in an effort to provide the most realistic approach to his teachings. Jake is also an accomplished author publishing numerous works in magazines such as Taichi Magazine, Kung Fu Tai Chi Magazine, Inside Kung Fu, and the Mantis Quarterly. Laoshir Christope Clarke has studied the internal arts from world-renowned masters in China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, and the US. Master Christophe is a former U.S. team member, 1990 Korea and 1996 Gold medal winner in Brazil. Laoshir Clarke has established himself as a world respected teacher of the internal arts. He has worked for the Sports Ministry in the former USSR as a consultant to their national athletic program. He worked for Dan Reeves with the Denver Broncos on coordination and visualization techniques, and he has also worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation to teach their SWAT team high-level martial arts techniques. Laoshir Clarke is a multitalented musician, screenplay writer, and has starred in five martial arts action films, most recently “Tiger Street”, which appeared on Showtime in December 2003 and “Dancing Bear” released at the end of 2004.

Laoshir Randy has been studying Chinese martial arts for more than 35 years.He is the senior disciple of Grandmaster Peter Kwok and has also studied with Y.C. Chiang, Y.C Wong, Adam Hsu, Lu De Xiu, Gao Xian, and Yang Fu Kui. He speciatlizes in Norther Shaolin Chuan, Chin Na, Tai Chi Chuan, Pa Kua Chang and Hsing Yi. He has also studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, in addition to being a licensed massage therapist. He has had the opportunity to be on national television, and is the author of “Ancient Health Teachings of the East”. Master Elia was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2004 and is the current President of the Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi Association. He owns and operates Peter Kwok’s Kung Fu Academy in Emerson, New Jersey.

He is considered one of the leading San Shou coaches in North America and as he has trained several International Champions. Laoshir Graham has also served as the Chief Referee for San Shou at the Taiji-Legacy International Martial Arts Championships, the US Wushu Union National Championships, and the AAU/Chinese Martial Arts National Championships.

Laoshir Jin Heng Li, former Senior Beijing Wushu Team Member, Beijing China began his martial arts training at age 11, he was selected to attend the prestigious Beijing Sports School. This is a “live-in” school where students focus not only on their academic subjects but they also train several hours daily, 6 days a week under the tutelage of the best martial arts masters in China. Laoshir Doria Cook Nelson is a senior student of the late Dr. Marshall Ho’o
(world renowned acupuncturist & pioneer of acupuncture research). Dr Ho taught her acupuncture & Asian philosophy to enhance her taijiquan teaching skills. Currently she studies with Laoshir Wen Mei Yu. She has also trained with many of China’s foremost Taijiquan and Qigong Laoshirs including; Zhoa Yuan Jwing, Cheng Ji Feng, Ma Yu Liang (& disciple Zhou Zhan Fang) & his son Ma Jiang Lin, and Ju Bong Yi. Laoshir Perez was the first non-Asian to be featured on the cover of a martial arts magazine in China. Additionally, he frequently contributes articles to the major martial arts magazines. actively since being stationed at Bergstrom AFB in 1973. He has studied with many leading authorities in Shuai Chiao, has served as national advisor on Shuai Chiao to the AAU & the USWKF, and is currently the General Manager of the World Shuai Chiao Society. His involvement with the legendary Ch’ang Tung-sheng in Bao Ting Shuai Chiao combined with the current Laoshir of the Chinese Swai Jiao Association, Jeng Hsing-peng, make him one of the leading authorities in the country on Shuai Chiao. His northern Long Fist and Tai Chi experience help students realize the throwing applications inside other systems.

Laoshir Earl Portnoy is the Grandmaster of the Shui Huo Kung Fu system. Laosihir
Portnoy has been teaching this system since 1972 and Yang Tai Chi since 1975. This system incorporates all elements of combat, including 45 weapons. He has developed and taught Close Quarter Combat curriculum for the Federal Air Marshal Program, Special Ops groups, Texas Army National Guard, Local/State/Federal Law enforcement agencies, as well as Federal Consulting Companies for overseas assignment. In addition to training security personnel, he also provides personal protection services for Domestic and International Dignitaries. He is regularly invited to teach seminars throughout the U.S.. Laoshir Portnoy also served as the AAU Chinese Martial Arts National Chairman from 1999-2003. He has judged, directed, and hosted tournaments through international levels.

He is also affiliated with Laoshir Augustine Fong. He was elected as the first Chief Chi Sau Referee for the 1990 US Chinese Martial Arts Council Championships in Houston Texas. He is in regular demand throughout the United States for his ability to unveil the principles of Wing Chun in simple and understandable terms during his seminars.

Laoshir Arthur Sikes started his martial arts training at 9 yrs and has been studying and teaching martial arts for well over 40 years. He is a senior disciple of the late Great Grandmaster Willem Reeders (Liu Seong), the former head of the World Kung Fu Federation. Willem Reeders was also the subject of study for the television series “Kung Fu,” which originally aired during the 1970’s and continues to be broadcast in syndication. Loashir Sikes is a recognized Grandmaster of various styles of Chinese and Indonesian Martial Arts and holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Okinawan Karate as well. In the late 1960’s Grand Master Sikes was a champion fighter and referee in the PK Circuit, and also been inducted into several Martial Art Halls of Fame. In the early 1980’s Laoshir Sikes founded the North American Self Defense Association College of Arts and Sciences for Higher Education (a Post Secondary College in the State of Nevada). He has dedicated his life to enriching the lives of others, by unselfishly teaching a true and original art.

Under Laoshir Wang, he has delved into the comparative systems of Taijiquan, Taiji Jian and Traditional Northern Fist and has studied Qigong under Dr. Wu. Laoshir Watson is widely respected official and coach and has served as a head judge at numerous national and international championships.

Laoshir Jiang Jian Ye was born in 1950 and has studied Wushu from the age of 5, learning from well-known masters such as Yu Mingwei, Yu Hai and many others. He received BA and master’s degrees from Qufu University and Shanghai Physical Education Institute. A national and international judge in China and the U.S., he is also a master calligrapher and winner of national and international awards. Sales of his calligraphy have garnered more than $10,000, all donated to the Shandong Disabled Association. He has also acted in movies produced in China, Australia, and Japan. Every year, Shifu Jiang goes to China to visit and interview with many Tai Chi & Qi Gong Grandmasters, professors, Chinese medicine doctors and researchers. While there, he acquires new knowledge and discovery and combines them in his own research to create these new forms. He shared his findings and forms to the people in China and received very strong positive feedback and approval.
