KPMG converts to a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) in
Singapore from 1 October 2008
The accounting partnership of KPMG in Singapore, announced that it will be converted to a Limited
Liability Partnership effective 1 October 2008 – KPMG LLP. This has been done pursuant to the
Singapore Limited Liability Partnerships Act (Chapter 163A).

“Service and quality by any name should always be uncompromising,” says Danny Teoh,
Managing Partner at KPMG LLP (Singapore), “For our valued clients and business associates, this
name change is a natural evolution in our growth story. It will not change the fact that our
professionals continue to work hard at helping businesses open doors to new opportunities.”

As a result of this conversion, the business of KPMG will be transferred in its entirety to KPMG
LLP, which will replace KPMG as the provider of public accountancy and other related advisory
services. This conversion does not affect the role of KPMG LLP as a member firm of the KPMG
network of independent firms affiliated with KPMG International (a Swiss cooperative).

Mr. Teoh added: “There will not be any changes to existing working arrangements or in our on-
going work as auditors or advisors. No action is required on the part of our clients.”

As before, KPMG LLP will strive to continue in its role of preserving the integrity of the capital
markets, the accuracy of financial information, and play a role as an advocate of good corporate
