Academic Student of the Year

      The student who earned the highest grade point average for the year
in all subject areas will be awarded a trophy and a certificate recognizing
their exemplary achievement.

Student of the Year-- The name of the Students of the Year has been
engraved on a plaque which will hang in the entry foyer of the school.
Students were nominated by the teachers from a list of students who had
not received a discipline referral all year and had NO I’s or U’s in
CONDUCT on their report card. Teacher then were asked to vote for the
students who had good attendance, good manners, good Cougar pride and
spirit. They were to also consider students who had a good attitude toward
learning, were attentive in class, and kind to their classmates. The
students who received the most votes have been named CIS Student of
the Year for their grade level.
