Due 1-28-2008 – For the week after 1-21-2008 the group will be working on functions to search and sort quotes. This will include allowing the user to access all of the quotes within the database and sort them in a number of ways, i.e. book, author, etc. Continuing to improve the add quotes functions is also a priority, as difficulties have arisen with using Google search within the Facebook application. The group will also begin working on a function to allow users to send quotes to their friends, they will be able to select a quote that they have saved and then choose a friend or friends they would like to send it to. You Lin – will mostly be responsible for search and sort functions, as well as oversee and help with add and send quote functions Albert – will be responsible for the add quote functions Tony – will be responsible for the send quote functions Due 2-4-2008 – For the week following 1-28-2008 the group will look to extend functionality for searching quotes within the database. At this point we will wrap up any loose ends and add quotes to the database. We will conclude work in this week by adding the application to Facebook’s directory, officially making us “live.” You Lin – will be responsible for extending search functionality and adding the app to the directory Albert – will assist You Lin and add quotes Tony – will work on adding new quotes to the database Due 2-11-2008 – After the application has become usable to the general public, we will begin testing it. We will grab volunteers to get some suggestions on the user interface. We will also reach out to some Project Gutenberg volunteers and have them work through our user cases.
Tony – will be responsible for collecting volunteer data
Albert – will assist in collecting volunteer data for the interface as well as Project Gutenberg volunteers You Lin – will be responsible for analyzing user data and suggesting plausible fixes Due 2-18-2008 – After all of the data has been collected we will all work together and fix any bugs that might come up. This effort will be directed by the lead programmer, You Lin.
After 2-18-2008 – The group will take into account data that would request adding more functionality to the application. We will re-assess any time constraints and make additions in order of its importance.
Bit Torrent Schedule
Due 1-26-08 - This week we will focus on a couple things. We need to create simplified Chinese version of BT download page and improve our current BT guideline page. For the BT guideline page, we will add more detail in this page. For example, adding some screenshots to teach users how to use bit torrent step by step. Chih-wei - will create simplified Chinese version of BT download page and add 4 categories of eBooks. Tony - will improve BT guideline page. Due 2-02-08 - This week will focus on adding eBooks into Project Gutenberg’s server and fixing typo and mistake in our bit torrent download page. Chih-wei - will add 3 categories of eBooks into Project Gutenberg’s server. Albert - will proofread all the bit torrent web page Due 2-9-08 - This week we will finish adding all the eBooks into Project Gutenberg’s server. Also it is the time to test our torrent files to see if those files are working functionally. Chih-wei - will add rest categories of eBooks and do the torrent files test. 2-10-08 - project deadline - The rest of the time we will fun final test on our bit torrent project, it will include torrent files downloading test and eBooks downloading test. We just want to check if users can download torrent files successfully and if they will be able to download eBooks. Chih-wei - will run the final test on bit torrent project. Stuff We Will Give to Project Gutenberg 1. My Project Gutenberg server’s account, it will include the whole bit torrent download pages, all the torrent files, and all the uploaded eBooks. 2. Bit torrent program set up instructions.
