					Canada Summer Jobs is an initiative of the Summer Work Experience program.
It provides funding for not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers, and
small businesses with 50 or fewer employees to create summer job opportunities
for students between the ages of 15 and 30.
The application period for Canada Summer Jobs 2008 has changed. Applications
will be accepted from February 1 to February 29, 2008.

Application forms and the National Guide for Applicants will be available online at
servicecanada.gc.ca, or at any Service Canada Centre, as of February 1.
Employers will be able to submit their applications online, by mail, by fax, or in person
at any Service Canada Centre.

The application assessment phase will be completed in April 2008, so that employers
can have students at work beginning in May 2008.




Information sessions:
Beginning January 15, Service Canada will be hosting information sessions on Canada
Summer Jobs 2008. This is your opportunity to learn more about the initiative and the
application process.
