Pine-Richland School District Tax Rebate Program PRSD Tax Rebate Program PRSD approved a property tax rebate program on for qualifying senior citizens, widows and widowers for tax year 2009. Eligibility Income Maximum Rebate 0 – $8,000 $650 $8,001 - $15,000 $500 $15,001 - $18,000 $300 $18,001 - $35,000 $250 Who Qualifies?: The program, which is effective for the calendar year 2009, stipulates that the filer must: Be a resident of Pine or Richland Township for all of 2009. Have owned a home in Pine or Richland Township for all of 2009 and used it as his/her pri- mary residence. A senior citizen and/or widow or widower. Who Qualifies to Be a Senior Citizen? A senior citizen is defined as someone who is 65 years or older on December 31, 2009. For married taxpayers, only one spouse needs to be 65 years or older to qualify. Who Qualifies as a Widow or Widower? A widow or widower is defined as someone whose spouse has passed away prior to 2009 and has not remarried in 2009 and is age 50 or older on December 31, 2009.
