On behalf of the ShamRock ’N Roll Committee, The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. (JLA) is pleased to
present you this proposal for consideration as a partner in 2010. We look forward to partnering with you
to provide an investment in the Atlanta community through the mission and vision of the Junior League of
Atlanta.
The Junior League of Atlanta (JLA):
• Is a recognized nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation and receives no state or federal funding.
• Its success depends on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations.
• Currently has 3,500 transformative community leaders improving the lives of women and
children.
• Purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
• Our shared vision is to be a catalyst for community change by empowering women who are
passionately focused on health, education and the welfare of women and children.
• During 2007-2008, we provided more than 120,000 volunteer hours to our partners, which
equals over $2 million in savings. In addition, we raised more than $600,000 to support our
mission.
• Stands on a history of excellence in assessing critical needs and developing collaborative
sustaining solutions.
JLA has even led the charge in establishing a solution that ultimately becomes a free-standing, self-
sufficient organization, such as with the Atlanta Speech School, the Atlanta Children’s Shelter and the
Anti-Prejudice Consortium. In other cases, we use our expert evaluation and training processes to
identify partnership opportunities, such as with Grady Memorial Hospital and the Ron Clark Academy.
n order for the Junior League of Atlanta to support our 90+ community partners, we rely on fundraising
events and businesses to raise the majority of our funds. These events and businesses include The

Junior League of Atlanta Ball, Tour of Kitchens, The Nearly New Shop, Cookbooks and The ShamRock
’N Roll Road Race.
The ShamRock ’N Roll Road race is currently in its sixth year.
• In 2009, we had over 2,000 registered runners.
• Our 2010 goal is 2,250 runners and walkers.
• The uniqueness of this JLA fundraiser is that we reach out to all members of the Atlanta
community.
• The race will be held at Atlantic Station, where our runners will enjoy a great scenic route through
one of Atlanta’s most popular intown live/work/play spaces.
• Includes both a 5K and 10K as well as a Kilt Run for our more spirited St. Patrick's Day runners.
• The event wraps up with a great post-race party featuring Irish bands and dancers along with a
vendor area.
Our 2009 race brought more than 2,000 registrants with over 80% being from the Metro Atlanta area.
The vast majority of our runners being in the 30-39 age range. For the past five years, we have seen a
consistent increase in registrations and are preparing for over 2,250 runners in 2010.
For our upcoming year’s race we are currently seeking cash and in-kind donors. In this sponsorship
packet you will find sponsorship opportunities. We also can work with you on
a specific package to help maximize your companies exposure to our runners
as well as the Junior League of Atlanta community.
JLA has helped transform communities, all the while maintaining a core value
of fiscal responsibility. The same rigorous evaluation tools applied to
community opportunities is taken to continuously evaluate and maintain
sound financial management of our road race.

In-kind donations will be valued at half their fair retail value when assessed against sponsor benefit levels but at full
retail value for sponsoring companies’ tax purposes. In-kind donating companies may receive the same benefits
offered to Sprinter Level sponsors listed above if they are accompanied by a minimum $500 cash donation.
