About us
NC College of Engineering was established in 1998 and since then the college made galloping strides to
accelerate the growth and dissemination of engineering and technological knowledge. The college is
approved by AICTE and permanently affiliated to the Kurukshetra University which is granted the status
of grade ‘A’ by NAAC.
The college offers B. Tech. Degrees in the disciplines of Biotechnology, Computer Science and
Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Information Technology
and Mechanical Engineering. Post-graduate degrees offered are M. Tech. (Computer Science and
Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Information Technology) and MBA
(Specialization in Financial Management, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management and
International Business Management). B. Tech. Programmes in 5 disciplines have been accredited by
AICTE – National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the college is an ISO 9001 – 2008 certified
institution.
The Government of Haryana has granted autonomy to N. C. College of Engineering. It is the first
institution in the state of Haryana that has achieved the autonomous status approved by AICTE. Under
this scheme, degrees continue to be awarded by Kurukshetra University. The College henceforth has its
own curriculum and examination system approved by Kurukshetra University, which will help in
providing quality education.
The faculty of the college is a blend of senior members superannuated from institutes of repute like IIT,
DRDO, NDRI, BARC etc. Around 30 faculty members hold Ph.D Degree and 12 are having M Phil, 65
Masters and 80 pursuing higher studies i.e. Ph.D & M. Tech. The College has been allotted a piece of
land at Rajeev Gandhi Educational City by HUDA, where R & D Centre for cutting edge research and
consultancy would be setup. The College inked a MoU with Thapar University, Patiala for collaborative
Research and Development programmes between the two institutions. It provides facility for the faculty
members to register and undertake Ph.D jointly. The college has submitted a proposal to the Kurukshetra
University for initiating Ph.D. programme. The college also organizes Short-term Courses/ Workshops/
Seminars/ Conferences for which it has received grants of more than 65.0 lakhs in past two years.
The Training and Placement Cell provides information and logistic support to the students for off-campus
placement in addition to organizing joint and exclusive recruitment drives by various companies at our
campus. On-campus and off-campus placement drives for companies of repute like Caparo Maruti, Rave
Technologies, Mphasis, Standard Chartered Bank, HDFC Bank, Zopag, ATSS, Datamatics, IBM etc.
Recently the college has organized a Mega-Joint Campus Placement drive for EA Games.
The college attracts students from not only the Northern states but from far flung parts of the country. The
students are exposed to basic and applied fundamentals of engineering as well as rich hands on experience
to make them creative, productive and innovative at their workplace. It provides latest know-how of
technology and developments to the students. Research and industrial training are integral components in
the curriculum of technical education imparted to the students. The College makes every effort to nurture
the talents of the students and strives for multi-faceted development of the personality of students.

Rules & Bye Laws :
  1. The tournament will be conducted on league cum knockout basis. Total 12 teams will be
      participating in 4 groups.. 2 teams shall qualify in every group for quarter finals. Each team shall
      play 2 league matches, quarter final, semifinal and final shall be on knockout basis.
  2. Each team should consist of 14 members and the names ones submitted can’t be changed.
  3. The name "Twenty20" implies that each team in a Twenty 20 cricket match will have a
      maximum of 20 Overs
  4. Everyday first match will start at 5.30 pm and the second match will start at 9.00 pm.
  5. The team would get 2 points for every win.
  6. The team should report at least half an hour before the scheduled start of the match for the toss
      and warm-up.
  7. The following fielding restrictions apply:
          a. No more than five fielders can be on the leg side at any time.
          b. During the first six overs, a maximum of two fielders can be outside the inner circle.
              (referred to as the powerplay)
          c. After the first six overs, a maximum of five fielders can be outside the fielding circle.
  8. Free Hit: If the bowler bowls a no-ball as a result of overstepping, the next ball shall be a Free
      Hit. For this ball, the batsman is not given out by any way in the cricket rules apart from being
      run-out. The captain cannot change field setting and it will be the same as the previous ball.
  9. A new batsman has to come to the crease within 90 seconds after the dismissal of the previous
      batsman.
  10. The teams should carry their individual kit bags. The organizers will provide the colored dress
      and white balls.
  11. Umpire’s decision will be final and binding on all Objection(s), if any, shall be given in writing
      to the respective match Referee will be considered final.
  12. If the match is abandoned due to rain, 1 point would be given to both teams.
  13. Any Unfortunate incident/accident if occurs during the tournament period, The tournament
      committee or the college administration shall not be held responsible for any consequences and
      no financial or other help shall be their responsibility accept providing FIRST AID facility
      according to the relevant situation.
14. Tie deciders (Super Over)Currently, if the match ends with the scores tied and there must be a
   winner, the tie is broken with a one over per side "Eliminator or "Super Over":Each team
   nominates three batsmen and one bowler to play a one-over per side "mini-match", sometimes
   referred to as a "One1".In turn, each side bats one over bowled by the one nominated opposition
   bowler, with their innings over if they lose two wickets before the over is completed. The side
   with the higher score from their Super Over wins.
15. If the fielding team doesn't bowl their 20th over within 80 minutes, the side will get the same
   number of overs in batting as bowled by them within allotted time during fielding; the umpire
   may penalized the batting side if they believe the batting team is wasting time.
