The Adventures of Tom Sawyer SCHEDULE
8th Grade English Students are encouraged to read this book aloud because the dialect can be difficult to understand, parents are encouraged to read this book with the students. It is also appropriate to read along with an audiotape of this and other novels. Please do not use Spark Notes (and others of that ilk) nor see the movie. The reading assignments are not long for the express purpose of allowing for the re-reading of the material and/or keeping notes following the reading guide for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Take notes in your book about things that interest/disturb/intrigue you from the text. This is the best way to absorb what you are reading!
