Dominion delivers electricity to more than 2 million homes and businesses in Virginia and northeastern North
Carolina. In Virginia, we operate under the name Dominion Virginia Power. The Virginia service territory
encompasses the northwestern, central, and eastern portions of the Commonwealth – approximately 65% of
Virginia’s total land area. However, this area accounts for approximately 80% of Virginia’s population.
Included in this area are the Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC; the I-81 corridor between Lexington and
Harrisonburg; Richmond, VA (state capital); and the Tidewater areas of Virginia Beach and Norfolk.

In North Carolina, we operate under the name Dominion North Carolina Power. The North Carolina service
territory extends from the I-95 corridor between Roanoke Rapids and Rocky Mount eastward to the Outer Banks
of North Carolina. Our service territory in both North Carolina and Virginia is not all encompassing in that
certain areas are provided electricity by electric cooperatives or via municipal utilities.

Dominion is one of the nation's largest producers and transporters of energy, with a portfolio of approximately
26,500 megawatts of generation, 1.1 trillion cubic feet equivalent of proved natural gas and oil reserves, 14,000
miles of natural gas transmission, gathering and storage pipeline and 6,000 miles of electric transmission lines.
Dominion operates the nation’s largest natural gas storage facility with 975 billion cubic feet of storage capacity
and serves retail energy customers in 11 states. Corporate headquarters are in Richmond, Va.
Dominion's strategy is to be a leading provider of electricity, natural gas and related services to customers in the
energy-intensive Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the U.S., a potential market of 50 million
homes and businesses where 40 percent of the nation’s energy is consumed.
