One-to-one training should not be seen as just a low-cost method of training. Conducted properly, one-to-one training should be well-planned structured, and tailored to meet the needs of each individual. The training must be delivered at the right time, in the right place, and by the right person. Analysis is two-fold. It considers the needs of the job or task in terms of knowledge and skills, and identifies the learning needs of the individual. The result of the analysis should be a list of the knowledge and skills needed by the individual. The whole purpose of any training courses that upon completion, the trainee will be able to perform tasks that he couldn't do before or to do them better than he did before.
