Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What do I do once I receive a confirmation that my session has been accepted?
Communicate with your co-presenters and begin to work on your presentation content.
Register for the Conference and make your hotel reservations as soon as possible.

2. I cannot present my session after all. How do I cancel?
If you are canceling your session, Ohio ACTE/OATFACS needs to be informed as soon
as possible so that your space can be assigned to someone else. Please e-mail Mary Jo
Kohl at Maryjo.kohl@ode.state.oh.us. Do not be a no-show; this will affect any
chances of appearing on future OATFACS Summer conference programs. Please be
sure your wish to cancel is communicated with all of your session presenters.

3. How do I change a presenter after my proposal is already accepted?
If you wish to add or remove a presenter, please e-mail Mary Jo Kohl at
Maryjo.kohl@ode.state.oh.us as soon as possible. Any new presenters will need to
register for the conference. Changes made after July 10 may not make it into the final
printed program because of production deadlines. As primary presenter, you are
expected to fully communicate all information on behalf of your session's presenters.

4. Are my expenses covered?
Ohio ACTE/OATFACS does not pay an honorarium, travel, copying, shipping or any
other expenses for any session presenter.

5. How will my session appear in the Program?
The final program, distributed on site, includes a description of each session and reflects
the information submitted by the presenter in the presentation proposal. Session
topics/descriptions will be posted on the OATFACS website at www.oatfacs.org when
      they are available.

6. What do I do when I get to the Conference?
Please check in at the speaker registration desk for conference materials, including the
onsite conference program, which will list your presentation room assignment

7. Do I have to register for the conference if I only attend to present my session?
It is the policy of Ohio ACTE/OATFACS to require presenters to register for the
conference. Presenters are included in the numbers provided to the convention facility
for planning purposes and prices for meals, room rates, etc. are negotiated from this.

Ohio ACTE/OATFACS member –presenters are asked to register as attendees. Vendor-
presenters are asked to pay $500 per session for the privilege of presenting. This helps
us keep the cost of attending the conference as reasonable as possible for everyone.

Ohio ACTE/OATFACS relies on its members to volunteer their time to make
presentations. This sharing of time and expertise with one another is the spirit of all
associations, especially Ohio ACTE/OATFACS. Without the dedication of our
presenters, Ohio ACTE/OATFACS could not operate its Annual Conference.

8. What about handouts?
If you plan to distribute handouts at your session, make copies before you arrive. It is
always best to bring a large quantity of materials for distribution. Attendees are very
disappointed when your handout is not available, so we strongly encourage you to be
prepared. You will not be reimbursed by Ohio ACTE/OATFACS for any copying
expenses. Session rooms hold up to 100 attendees. Because attendees have many
sessions to choose from, you may not have a full session of 100 attendees. You can also
email the handouts to kohlt@adelphia.net and we will post the handouts to our website.
This year we are strongly encouraging all of our presenters to have the presentation
available for the web master to download at conference.

9. Can I register for just one day at the conference?
The entire Conference lasts just a day and a half, so there is not a one day registration
       option.

10. Is my session room setup with audiovisual equipment?
Ohio ACTE/OATFACS provides a screen, AV cart, a podium with a microphone and
wireless internet. Each presenter is responsible for providing his or her own laptop
        computer and projector.

11. How does someone apply for a speaking position?
The presentation proposal form will be on OATFACS Web site, www.oatfacs.org for the
      following year’s conference.

12. Who are the other speakers and what are they talking about?
Please check out the website at www.oatfacs.org to view the program at a glance for a
list of topics and speakers at the conference.

      6652.
