Description

The congressional records that include the findings of the USS liberty independent committee . USS liberty was attacked in international waters by the IAF during the six days war. Up till now it is not clear why it was attacked despite it was clear that it was not an Egyptian vessel. Among the theories the committee have reached to according to the intelligence reports they had was Israel was afraid that the communications between the commanders in Al Arish were recorded , the fear came from the fact that there were mess murder spree against Egyptian POWs going on by the orders of these Commanders
