Briefly summarize the major themes and activities of the proposed project, and explain how those activities will address the concerns set out in the Call for Proposals. Be sure to identify any activities that will be delegated to sub-contractors. Attach additional page(s) if necessary. 2 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Narrative Proposal Form 1. Detailed Timetable. Please specify the planned dates for starting and completing the project (for most applicants this will be December 1, 2008 to December 31, 2009). Please also provide a timetable for carrying out EACH ACTIVITY of the project, including any dissemination of results. 3 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Proposal Narrative Form 2. Detailed Description of Proposed Activities 2.A.1. Activities: Conferences and/or Competitions. Provide a summary of all conferences and/or competitions planned during the entire 2008-9 grant period, clearly identifying when they will take place, including events on or around Europe Day 2009 (May 9, 2009). For each, indicate themes to be addressed, any resulting information products, means of dissemination, and expected results. Please also specify how this activity will further the goals set out in the Call for Proposals, and provide measurable criteria for evaluating implementation. Attach additional pages if necessary. 4 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Proposal Narrative Form 2.A.2. Activities: Publications, Information Booklets and Brochures about Europe and the EU2. Indicate all publications, booklets and brochures and any other information products such as posters, leaflets, newspaper features, radio/TV programs, including quizzes and talk shows, videos websites, and advertising of project events, to be implemented during the grant period, clearly identifying when they will take place, including events on or around Europe Day 2009 (May 9, 2009). Be sure to include targeted audience(s), likely number of recipients, and planned means of dissemination, and provide measurable criteria for evaluating their implementation. 2 Including both electronic and print publications. 5 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Proposal Narrative Form 2.A.3. Activities: Training Programmes and Briefing Sessions for Local Officials. Indicate all training programmes and briefing sessions for local officials (either specific individuals or ‘profiles’) planned during the entire 2008-9 grant period, clearly identifying when they will take place, including events on or around Europe Day 2009 (May 9, 2009). Address the likely nature and impact of these activities, and provide measurable criteria for evaluating their implementation. Where relevant, indicate the means of selecting individuals via a competitive process. 6 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Proposal Narrative Form 2.A.4. Activities: Study and Exchange Visits. Indicate all study and exchange visits to be implemented during the grant period, clearly identifying when they will take place, including events on or around Europe Day 2009 (May 9, 2009). Please also specify how these activities will further the program objectives and produce the related outcomes set out in the Call for Proposals, and including the likely nature and impact of recipients’ activities. Where relevant, indicate the means of selecting individuals via a competitive process. 7 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Proposal Narrative Form 2.A.5. Activities: Town Twinning Arrangements with European Counterparts Describe any Town twinning arrangements with European counterparts, highlighting local economic, social and cultural connections, to be implemented during the grant period, clearly identifying when they will take place, including arrangements on or around Europe Day 2009 (May 9, 2009). 8 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Proposal Narrative Form 2.A.6. Any Other Activity Costs Not Listed Above. Describe and explain the timing and impact of any additional activities to be conducted during the grant period, clearly identifying when they will take place, including events on or around Europe Day 2009 (May 9, 2009). Please also specify how these activities will further the goals set out in the Call for Proposals, and provide measurable criteria for evaluating their implementation. 9 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Proposal Narrative Form 2.B. Staff Assigned to the Operation. Explain the duties and indicate the effort required (hours worked per week) of all staff devoted to the project during the period of the grant, clearly identifying the amount of individual effort required during the grant period. 10 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Proposal Narrative Form 2.C. Staff Travel and Related Subsistence. Explain the planned date(s) and purpose(s) of all staff travel during the period of the grant. 11 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Proposal Narrative Form 2.D. Cost/Rental of Equipment and Rental of facilities (e.g. conference facilities). Explain the timing and purpose of any expenses in this category to be incurred during the grant period, clearly identifying when they will take place, including for events on or around Europe Day 2009 (May 9, 2009). Rental expenses must involve external payments to third parties, and not inter-institutional transfers. 12 ANNEX I ‘ LOCAL OUTREACH - December 1, 2008-December 31, 2009 Proposal Narrative Form 2.E. Costs of Consumables and Supplies. Explain the timing and purpose of any expenses in this category to be incurred during the grant period Note this category relates to e.g. office stationery and telephones, not food or catering expenses linked to specific activities. 13
