Information Bulletin No. WY-2006-025

To: Field Managers
From: State Director, Wyoming
Subject: Bureau of Land Management 2007 Visitor Survey - IB No. 2006-095
         DD: 08/01/06

Please review the attached Washington Office Information Bulletin requesting two sites from
Wyoming to be included in the 2007 Visitor Survey. These surveys are mandatory for each
State.

In the last 3 years, surveys have been held at the Muddy Mountain Environmental Education
Area in Casper, the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper, the Atlantic City,
Cottonwood, and Big Atlantic Gulch Campgrounds in Lander.

To comply with the Washington Office directive we need two fee sites to be volunteered from
the following Field Offices:

      z Kemmerer: Fontenelle Campgrounds
      z Cody: Five Springs Campground
z Rawlins: Bennett Peak Recreation Site, Encampment River Campground
      z Pinedale: Warren Bridge Campground

If we do not receive any volunteer nominations, two sites will be submitted by the State
Director.

The annual visitor survey provides the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) with both data for
reporting results using national performance measures required under the Government
performance and Results Act (GPRA) of 1993 and information regarding visitor’s satisfaction
with value for fees paid. This survey also gives BLM site managers vital information on visitor
satisfaction with facilities, interpretation/education programs and materials, road/trail
maintenance, staff service, and general recreation management.

Please submit your site profile to Andy Tenney at Andy_Tenney@blm.gov by August 1, 2006.
