REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Computer Purchase
1. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase of 45 computers, monitors, keyboards, and mice. The RFP has been prepared and disseminated in accordance with Federal and State requirements relating to negotiated competitive procurement. All interested and qualified parties may submit proposals. Small, minority, and women–owned businesses are encouraged to participate. The Job Council has been operating employment and training programs for Jackson and Josephine counties since 1975 under federally funded job-training programs. It currently maintains one office in Medford and one in Grants Pass. 2. SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS Interested individuals or firms are invited to submit a proposal under this formal Request for Proposal. In order to be considered, the following items need to be completed and submitted to The Job Council at the address contained herein. Legal Status – (Corporate status) of individual or firm, e.g. sole proprietor, partnership, limited liability partnership, corporation, etc. Under what status does individual or firm propose to do business [ability to contract], e.g. domestic corporation or foreign corporation. A foreign1 corporation must have a Certificate of Authority to conduct business in the State of Oregon. Computer Quotation Form – (attachment A) Proposals are to be submitted on the Computer Quotation Form (attachment A of the Request for Proposal packet). The Computer Quotation Form must be fully completed. Please attach a brochure or specification sheet if available. Incomplete proposals will be considered non-responsive and removed from the evaluation process. Deadline for submission of proposals is no later than 5:00 p.m., October 28, 2008. SPECIFICATIONS Consideration and selection will be based on cost vs. available features within budgetary limitations. Please give quotes on several models, which provide as closely as possible the features indicated below. Small form factor desktop case – two USB ports and one sound port in the front of the case. Four or more USB ports, Ethernet, Sound, and Video in the back. AWARD PROCESS Evaluation – All proposals will be evaluated on responsiveness to the requirements of the solicitation, suitability of the proposed equipment, and cost factors. Negotiation – Pre–award negotiation may occur with offeror's top proposals. Selection – Selection of the successful proposal will be made based on the evaluation of the aforementioned criteria. Notification – Unsuccessful proposals will be notified by mail. CANCELLATION OF RFP The Job Council reserves the right to cancel the RFP at any time during the process for lack of response or for other reasons deemed appropriate by The Job Council.
