With the introduction of solutions to the PCI Geomatics’ product offering, the company has a growing
need for a Technical Proposal Writer. The ideal candidate will possess experience in the geospatial
The Technical Proposal Writer will assist the team on all aspects of proposal writing. He/She will assist in
the writing of proposals that are consistent, compliant, free of grammatical errors, and compiled so that it
reads as though written by a single individual. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Major Activities

       The creation of professional, high quality, technically oriented proposals in support of PCI clients’
        needs and expectations.

       When not working on proposals and proposal management activities, support the marketing
        department in the development of sales collateral, whitepapers, case studies, along with other
        similar activities.

Major Responsibilities

       Work with the sales team to review client requirements and assist in resolving any ambiguities,
        inconsistencies and/or omissions in those statements or requirements so that sufficient
        information can be obtained to generate the required proposal.

       Work with the various departments throughout the company to collect the necessary material to
        complete the proposal and develop a clear understanding of client needs and expectations.

       Be responsible for writing and compiling the proposal and managing the proposal preparation
        process from initial request to client delivery.

       Assisting with the editing of proposal materials for quality, accuracy, organization consistency,
        clarity, appropriateness and persuasiveness of content, ensuring compliance with standards of

       Within the proposal framework, communicate details regarding the company’s products, solutions
        and services and presenting them accurately in a professional document.

       Formulate proposal documents which address the request, effectively sell our services and
        expertise and accurately and clearly communicate our culture and approach.

       Ensuring that all information is properly captured and contained within the proposal document.
      Coordinating the internal flow and review of proposal inputs and documents and maintaining
       secure control of files and versions.

      Preparing, augmenting and maintaining proposal templates.

      Working closely with various managers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and teaming partners in
       order to gather information needed to compose proposal documents.

      Must be comfortable interviewing SMEs and drawing out the technical data required to write
       superior proposals.

      Creating documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

      Participate in the preparation and presentation of formal business proposals that include
       descriptions of solutions to problems belonging to prospective customers.

      Managing the proposal eCabinet, so as to ensure accurate retention of documents.

      Maintaining up-to-date proposal and contract tracking logs.

Qualifications and Skills

      University Degree or College Diploma (minimum 3 years) in Sciences, a Technical Discipline or
       equivalent knowledge/training

      Experience in photogrammetry, remote sensing and /or GIS is an asset

      Minimum of 3 years of work experience in proposal or technical writing

Other Abilities and Qualities

      Excellent skills with Microsoft Office

      Outstanding communication, time-management and problem-solving skills

      Meticulous and organized

      Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a dynamic work environment

      A self-starter with the ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
