NEED CASH? TAP THE EQUITY IN YOUR HOME
Need money to buy a vehicle, remodel the kitchen, or take that dream vacation?
Consider using a home equity loan from Vacationland Federal Credit Union. Your credit union can set up
a closed-end loan, if you know the exact amount you need and do not wish to borrow any more than
that. Or, we can set up a Home Equity Line of Credit whereby you can access the funds as you need
them, up to a pre-determined limit.
Money in the Home Equity Line of Credit is then made available again as it is paid back. The interest
rates are very favorable because the loan is backed (or secured) by your home. And, in most cases, the interest that you pay on
your home equity loan is tax-deductible. If a home equity loan sounds like the solution to your needs, talk to a loan specialist at VFCU today!

START YOUR 2008 HOLIDAY SAVINGS PROGRAM TODAY
If the holidays keep putting a bigger and bigger dent into your budget, maybe it's time to consider starting a Holiday
Club Savings Account.
This account is just like any other savings account, except you can’t make withdrawals. At the end of October the
funds are transferred to your Share Draft Checking or Share Savings Account so it’s there when you’re ready to do
your holiday shopping.
Then, you start making monthly contributions again for the following year. Let's say you want to budget $500 for holiday gift giving. Dividing that amount by
12 means you would contribute about $42 monthly to reach your goal. That's much more manageable than trying to come up with the $500 all at once. And
if you're trying to avoid debt, it's better than putting that $500 on a credit card.
Sound like a good idea? Stop by or call today, and we can help you open a Holiday Club Savings Program for 2008.
REACTIVATE OR CLOSE THOSE DORMANT ACCOUNTS
Do you have a credit union savings or checking account that you have not used in six months or more?
Accounts that are dormant may be assessed a monthly fee or be subject to closing if the balance falls below a certain amount. If you have a dormant
account, please consider reactivating it by making some type of transaction. Or, as a last resort, stop by or call and close the account altogether.
