Interactive CD-ROM Proposal Unknown client Introduction This proposal is in response to discussions with Bob Smith regarding programming aspects of the Cost Saver '98 Interactive CD-ROM. The CD-ROM will be comprised of the information currently contained in the Cost Saver '98 brochure (see Proposed Flow Chart below). It will include an attenction grabbing introduction followed by a main menu. The various topics discussed in the brochure will be accessable from the main menu. Possible treatments for the topics include:  Each topic consisting of a single screen with buttons that will overlay the selected subtopic,  Each topic consisting of a series of screens to cover the different subtopics for each topic through which the user can page. The Rebate Interactive Program will be an interactive tool which allows the user to track purchases and the amount of discount earned. Equations and description of how this would operate will be provided by Unknown client. Additional development work caused by changes to this scope are available at the rate of $65/hour. This cost is for the programming effort and does not include creation or digitization of video or graphics assets. These assets will be provided by Bob Smith or his client. This proposal includes putting in initial assets that are available during the development cycle and one additional version of the asset. Additional versions of the assets will result in added cost. Work will be completed at Zapp Interactive Technology in Lomita, CA with review meetings being held at Bob Smith’soffice or another designated site. Meetings are indicated in the Task Plan as a total of 2.5 days of Design and Review. Additional meetings will be billed at a rate of $65/hour. Bob Smith shall pay Zapp Interactive Technology at the following milestones: 25% upon execution of this agreement 25% at delivery of the Alpha version 50% at delivery of the Final version Presented by Zapp Interactive Technology 02/11/09 Page 2 Interactive CD-ROM Proposal Unknown client Technology Issues Target Delivery Platform The target delivery platform is an Intel Pentium based computer with 16 MB of memory running Windows 95 or Windows NT. The CD-ROM should run satisfactorily on a 486 based computer with a minimum of 8 MB of memory with either Windows 3.1 or Windows 95, though speed may not be optimal. The following additional components are required to run the CD-ROM:  monitor capable of 640x480esolution at 256 colors  double speed CD-ROM (or faster) Distribution CD-ROM will be the primary method of distribution. Interim versions can be delivered by Zapp Interactive Technology as a one off CD-ROM at a cost of $25 per CD-ROM or on Iomega Zip cartridge if provided. Development Tools Authorware Professional for Windows version 4 will be the primary development tool used. There is no runtime expense involved with the distribution of Authorware created applications. Development Platform Windows based Pentium with a minimum of 24 Mb of memory (32 Mb recommended) and the following equipment:  CD-ROM drive  16 bit sound card  15” monitors or larger capable of 800x600 resolution at 256 colors  1 GB hard drives or larger  Iomega Zip drives with 100 Mb capability. Fonts It is recommended that standard Windows 95 TrueType fonts are used. Any font that is not part of the standard Windows installation must be licensed for distribution by the client and provided for each development station. Graphic screens can include non-standard fonts. One copy of this font must be available for use by the development team. Installation Routines This proposal includes the cost of the development of a basic installation program using InstallShield The installation routine will have options for installing and uninstalling the application to the hard drive.
