―FOREVER PLAID‖ is an affectionate musical homage to the close-harmony ‗guy groups‘ that reached the height
of their popularity during the 1950s. One of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory, this
deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash on February 9th 1964 on the
way to their first big gig, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and
perform the show that never was.

Amassing loyal followers around the world, the Plaid fan base has been constantly growing for nearly twenty years.
All these fans have now become part of the "Frequent Plaid" program. 'Plaid Heads' (a term coined by Jay Leno)
have seen the show upwards of 700 times! 'Plaid Head' celebrities include Joanne Woodward, Goldie Hawn, Liza
Minnelli, Garry Marshall, Jason Alexander, Elaine Stritch, Rosie O'Donnell, Tommy Hilfiger, Bette Midler, Joan
Baez and Robert Reich. The film features cameos by Fred Willard, Loni Anderson, Rose Marie, Kate Linder, and
Melissa Manchester.

―FOREVER PLAID‖ has won acclaim from audiences in every demographic. Kids, teens, young adults and their
parents, grandparents and their great-grandparents have been smiling at this quirky off-beat tribute to the love of
music, entertainment and the power of following your dream.

―FOREVER PLAID‖ has played the East Room of the White House (under the first Bush administration), and The
Plaids have also sung for President Clinton at both his Democratic Conventions. In London ―FOREVER PLAID‖
gave a command performance for HRH Queen Elizabeth. In Japan, the show was sponsored by the government and
was honored with performances for Japanese dignitaries. The current worldwide total box office gross is now over
$300,000,000. The show has played non-stop, worldwide for nearly twenty years.

―FOREVER PLAID‖ is an affectionate revue of the close-harmony ‗guy groups‘ (e.g. The Four Aces, The Four
Freshmen) that reached the height of their popularity during the 1950s. They personified the clean-cut genre. This
quartet of high-school chums' earnest dreams of recording an album ended in death in a collision with a bus filled
with Catholic schoolgirls on their way to see the Beatles' American debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. The play begins
with The Plaids returning from the afterlife for one final chance at musical glory.

The score consists of musical favorites, including: "Three Coins in the Fountain," "Undecided," "Gotta Be This or
That," "Moments to Remember," "Crazy 'Bout Ya, Baby," "No, Not Much," "Sixteen Tons," "Chain Gang,"
"Perfidia," "Cry," "Heart and Soul," "Lady of Spain," "Scotland the Brave," "Shangri-La," "Rags to Riches," "Love
is a Many-Splendored Thing" and a surprising rendition of the Beatles, ―She Loves You.‖

Now celebrating its 20th Anniversary, ―FOREVER PLAID‖ has been the #1 Off-Broadway show for two decades,
generating over $300,000,000 in ticket sales. This show has a large niche following of fans in three major
demographics: the deeply religious / Christian demographic, the greater LGBT community, and finally the now
largest demographic in America – Baby Boomers surfing the Silver Tsunami.

―FOREVER PLAID‖ is a musical comedy revue interspersed with witty and insightful banter about the love of
music, growing up, and ―making one‘s mark.‖ It is also about the everyday courage we need to face life, a kind of a
swinging American version of ―Happy Days‖ meets ―The Full Monty‖ meets Tony Bennett, chock full of all those
―retro‖ songs that are cool again.

SYNOPSIS—The story is a simple one of four young men struggling to ―make it‖ as a swing & standards ―close
harmony‖ group in those pre-Beatles, pre-―grassy knoll‖ days of our Perry Como innocence. So what‘s the
problem? They‘re dead! Wiped out by a bus full of Catholic schoolgirls while the lads were driving in their now
iconic cherry red ‘54 Mercury convertible to their first real gig (at the ―Fusel-Lounge‖ in a local Pennsylvania
airport). The schoolgirls, by the by, were okay.

But a second opportunity is now heaven sent to The Plaids. They‘ve returned to Earth nearly 50 years later to put on
the show they never performed in life. There are problems of course, not least of which is that they are dead. And
there are the more prosaic challenges, such as remembering lyrics and moves that they haven‘t sung or danced in
over 40 years.

As The Plaids mount the stage, a disembodied voice, heavenly in cadence, tells us about astral planes and harmonics
and, in general, lays down the stakes. There is a perfect harmonic chord, buried in the song ―Love is a Many
Splendored Thing,‖ a chord The Plaids never fully hit in life, but now need to hit it for their visit to Earth. Nerves are
raw, mistakes are made, but bit-by-bit, with confidence growing, they attack with increasing gusto the celestial
musical opportunity they‘ve been given, for each one of the four to achieve the happy resolution of his redemptive
arc, and for the quartet to reach the perfect chord and achieve perfect harmony. This harmonic chord is finally found
and sung. It resonates with the harmony we all want, in our lives and in our worldview, all across America and
around the world. It is the epicenter of the ―feel good‖ explosion that is ―FOREVER PLAID.‖ It is meant to be a
lesson to us all.
