World History Agenda November 24th – December 5th Monday, November 24th Begin Unit of WWI Watch interactive video on Causes of WWI and complete corresponding worksheet Tuesday, November 25th Begin watching All Quiet on the Western Front which is an excellent depiction of WWI and stop at predetermined locations to write a “Dear Mom” letter home in which you accurately describe the events that you have just experienced; Assign WWI Postcard “WWI Postcard” Create a postcard that depicts a scene or image of WWI. Then, assume the voice of one of the characters from All Quiet on the Western Front. Based on what you know about the character, his family, and his involvement/experience in the war, what would he write in a postcard home? (Ex. Paul) Make sure your information is fact-based. 1. Use construction or thick paper; create an appropriate picture on one side that depicts a scene from the war. 2. You may print images from one of the following websites, draw original pictures, copy from books, or cut from magazine.
