Community Transport
Local transport is provided to aged or disabled persons residing within the City of Holdfast
Bay by means of a Community Bus service driven by qualified volunteers.
Transport is provided Monday to Friday on set routes with a door to door pickup to local food
shopping outlets, libraries and various community centres.
Cost is by way of a gold coin donation and advance notice or bookings are required. Please
contact the Community Transport Coordinator, Tel 8229 9975.

A second transport option for residents in the Glenelg area.
A more flexible fixed route Community LOOP bus operates in the Glenelg area. The
service operates Wednesday to Friday every week from 10am to 4pm. The loop begins at
Bath Street Foodland, travels past the Glenelg Oval, down Jetty Road, to the Pier Hotel, down
Adelphi Terrace and Old Tapleys Hill Road, before passing Glenelg Coles and heading back
to Bath Street Foodland via Moseley Street and the Broadway.
The service runs every 30 minutes with the last loop commencing at 3.30pm. This option
means residents can linger or attend appointments knowing the bus will pass by every 30
minutes in a continual loop.
No registration necessary, simply hail the bus at designated stops along the route.
A gold coin donation is requested when using the service.
