The Servant’s Voice Goes Bi-Weekly!
The way communication is disseminated within the congregation will change beginning March 1. The Weekly Ministry Memo and The Servant Weekly (the ministry memo and printed bulletin insert) will cease to exist. In their place, The Servant’s Voice will become a bi-weekly publication, published the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. Articles and submissions for the bi-weekly newsletter will be due one week before publication— the 2nd and 4th/5th Sunday of each month. Everything you need to stay informed will appear in The Servant’s Voice and on the church website http://ctslutheran-denton.org.

The Council invites you to a “Thank You for Your Ministry” Luncheon next Sunday, February 8, in the Fellowship Hall following 11:00 a.m. Worship. A brief Congregational Meeting will be held following the luncheon for the presentation of the Annual Ministries Report of the congregation.

Lenten Devotional Booklet 2009
It’s time to get ready for Lent. Choose one day and write a devotional and prayer based on a scripture passage for one day during the Lenten season; the devotionals will be collated into a Lenten Meditations booklet written by members and friends of the congregation for your use during this Lent. Generous Orthodoxy Sunday School News
We are on chapter 10, "Why I am Biblical," in the McLaren book in the alternative adult Sunday school class. A specific quote from this chapter generated a lot of interest last week, so we plan to devote our next class to exploring it further. We hope you find it as intriguing as we did. McLaren says: "If you want a feel for the richness of the phrase 'Word of God,' ask the Lutherans; it's a secret that their tradition seems to know without knowing that it knows" (p. 181).
