Dear Parents/Guardians:

This is a brief memo to remind you and your child of the regulations and policies for writing
Midterm Examinations that are scheduled to start on Monday, January 26th .

      O      Exams are 2 hours in duration. Students will be required to remain in the
             examination room until the examination is officially over. Encourage your child
             to review their exams to ensure that all questions are answered and completed to
             the best of their ability.

      O      Examinations are cumulative in nature and will cover work from September to
             end of Semester #1.

      O      Students absent from an examination must provide medical documentation.

      O      In the event of a school cancellation due to weather and/or road conditions, the
             examinations scheduled for that day will be postponed until the end of the exam
             period. For example, if school has to be cancelled on Wednesday, January 25th,
             we will continue with the original schedule for Thursday, January 26th on
             Thursday, January 26th. The exams scheduled for Wednesday that had to be
             postponed will be written on Monday, January 30th . If any announcement(s)
             need to be made regarding the Midterm Exam Schedule, all announcement(s)
             will be put on VOCM, OZFM and Status Central (www.esdnl.ca) .

      O      Please ensure that your child has all of their textbooks and notes with them when
             they leave school on Friday, January 20th .

      O      Just in case you did not receive our Newsletter on Thursday, January 12th , the
             Midterm Examination Schedule is listed below.
