City of Rancho Cucamonga Offers Fast and
Convenient Passport Services at City Hall
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 10, 2009
Rancho Cucamonga, California ─The City of Rancho Cucamonga offers U.S. citizens a fast and convenient way to
apply for a passport and they need look no further than City Hall. The City has processed more than 11,500 passport
applications since it became a Passport Acceptance Facility in 2001. The public is encouraged to use this City service
saving the time and hassle of waiting in long lines.
The U.S. Passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies the identity and nationality of the bearer
and is required to enter and leave most foreign countries. On June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full
requirements of the land and sea phase of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative which will require U.S. citizens
entering the United States at all sea or land ports of entry to have a valid passport or passport card. This policy change will
result in an increased demand for new passports and passport renewals. Passports are valid ten years for adults.
Rancho Cucamonga City Hall, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, is a one-stop facility for all passport services,
including photos. The Passport Office offers appointments on Monday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-2:00p.m.
