Days of Molecular Medicine 2009 MD-PhD Program Human Genetics, Stem Cells and Physiology: The Future of Individualized Medicine Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School Boston, Massachusetts Thursday, May 7th - Saturday, May 9th PURPOSE: Provide an opportunity for physician-scientist trainees to attend and present their work at an international conference. Scholarships will focus on students whose research focuses on human genetics, stem cells and physiology as they pertain to the future of individualized medicine. GOALS: -To increase participation of those pursuing a career as physician-scientists -To achieve the Days of Molecular Medicine (DMM) goal of reaching a global subset of highly talented physician-scientists -To provide trainees exposure to international scientific leaders in an informal and interactive environment AWARD: Awards will consist of complimentary registration and accommodations, with a limited number of awards given to cover travel costs. Scholars are encouraged to request travel funds from their own institution. However, if unable to obtain money for travel, please indicate this in your application and we will supplement as funds permit. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: -The candidate must be enrolled in an MD-PhD Program or equivalent, and the applicant must be supported by the MD-PhD Program Director -A statement of career goals and a summary of research must be submitted -A 250 word abstract of a paper for presentation at DMM 2009 must be submitted -Application packet must be submitted via email to email@example.com in word document format not later then March 2nd SELECTION: Applications will be judged by a committee that includes the DMM directors and meeting organizers. Final decisions will be sent via email no later then March 16th.
