Go through Project 3 found on page AC114 through AC165 in the book Access, Comprehensive Concepts and Techniques 2003 Complete Concepts and Techniques (Shelly Cashman). If you require this resource, please contact your instructor.
Assignment
Do the question** below: If you require further practice, I recommend the “In the Lab” questions found on pages AC168. Submit your assignment via email or through a hard-copy. Make sure that you put your name on it and the Assignment/Section Number. A number of changes must be made to the database... see the attached page: **You may alternately create your own database with two linked tables on any subject you wish as long as you discuss it with your instructor to see if it is feasible.
Item a. Completion of the basic requirements of these assignments – correct totals, information displayed, formulas etc...

Here are the changes for the database:
1. A number of adjustments must be made to the database: On the attached page on the back, there is more data to be entered in the SignOut Table. Next: a. a field must be added to the “signout” table to record the condition of the book upon return (to the book signout table). Create a list where you can choose between “Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor and Replace”. Go through the entries and add this data to your database (make it up so I don’t have to). Create a query of the books that have to be replaced. b. We have to keep track of the fines and the amounts owing. To do this, we will have to add another table with a code for each patron, their first and last names, and any fine amount that has been charged and an amount paid field. c. Anytime a book is late their is an automatic fine of $.50 (I won’t make you calculate it per day although that is entirely possible). Using the query from the previous exercise in 2.2 and the query for the books that must be replaced, add fines. Note that the cost of these books are $76.85 including tax. Reggie has paid up his fines in full. Create a query that will list those Patrons who owe fines (not the ones that have paid the fines). I think that this should be enough to keep you busy! Enjoy and don’t hesitate to ask for help if you need it!
