How to Submit a Proposal

Any individual with an innovative idea can apply to TePP either downloading the application
form from here or approach the TU-Counseling Center, Adikavi Nannaya University,
Rajahmundry and filling it properly after reading the detailed instructions given below.

Application Acceptance

On successful submission of the proposal, the application will be forwarded to the TUC-SPMVV
(TePP outreach centre-Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam, tirupati). Experts opinion will
be taken, if it succeeds then it will be send to TePP-DSIR New Delhi office. TePP will allot a
unique application number to the applicant and issue an Acknowledgement. The
acknowledgement will be also sent to you via email or by post.

Submission of Application form

The filled in TePP application form and enclosures should either be mailed (only by Registered
Post/Speed Post) or handed over personally to the AKNU TU-Counseling Center.

Who can apply for TePP Support

Any Indian citizen who has completed schooling and have an original idea/invention/know-how
can apply.

What proposals are Eligible?

Proposals from individual innovators to convert an original idea/invention/know- how into
working prototype/processes. These proposals can be made by individuals or jointly with
sponsoring organizations.

   1. Interested individual(s) may apply to TePP for support giving complete details as per the
      TePP application form.
   2. The proposal(s) having sketchy details/incomplete applications/applications without
      signature will be rejected. No correspondence will be entertained in respect of rejected
      proposals. The applicant, however, will be informed in due course.
   3. The proposals involving software development/only patenting and for basic scientific
      research projects having no immediate commercial implications will not be accepted for
      consideration under TePP.
   4. While making proposals to TePP, an innovator must ensure that the proposed idea will
      have possible commercial potential. Mere possession of idea(s), doesn't entitle any one to
      avail TePP support.
   5. The proposals from the owner of a Start-up company/industry may be considered for
      TePP support, if the annual turnover of the company/industry doesn't exceed Rs. 45.00
      lakhs per annum.
   6. Individuals working in organisations & having innovative ideas may apply for TePP
      support by furnishing a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
   7. In general, only one proposal from an individual innovator would be considered at a time.
      The proposals received will be subjected to departmental screening.
   8. TePP support to the innovators is limited to 90% of the total cost of the project &
      remaining 10% is to be borne by the innovator/inventor.
   9. TePP selected innovators/inventors have to put 10% as cash contribution against the
      sanctioned amount, as their own share to the project proposals. Proof/supporting
      document will be required with the application and along with the willingness towards
      such a contribution. The upper limits in both the cases are indicative only. It does not
      guarantee/ensure for the support to the tune of Rs. 50,000/- or Rs. 10.00 lakhs. The
      decision regarding actual support/categorisation depends on the merits of the proposals
      and the support amount considered varies from case to case, as evaluated by the TePP
      Screening committee. The remaining funds will have to be arranged by the innovator.
