LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – May 14, 2007 – Patricia Sturla Studios, Inc.
(www.patriciasturlastudio.com/), is proud to announce the first edition of Belleza Juvenil
Internacional, a new and exciting beauty and talent competition presented in English and
Spanish, open to children and adolescents of both sexes, ages 4 to 18.

The fresh new faces of Latin Hollywood will be selected on Sunday, May 20, 2007, at the
Los Angeles Convention Center. The event will be hosted by Ricardo Quintero, noted
reporter for FOX, KTTV Channel 11, KMEX, and Univision 34, and include the participation of
prominent entertainment professionals and performers. Over 120 young hopefuls will compete
in front of an independent panel of judges featuring leading agents, managers, producers, and
other professionals from the Latino entertainment industry, who will select male and female
winners in three age categories (4-7, 8-12, and 13-18). Over the course of the evening, Patricia
Sturla Studios will also pay special tribute to international artist Raul R. Rodriguez, visionary
designer and creator of more than 500 floats for the legendary Rose Parade in Pasadena. His
life-long dedication and passionate commitment to the arts continue to inspire generations of
young Latinos to pursue their most ambitious dreams.

Winners in each category will receive a cash prize, a modeling, dance, and acting
scholarship at Patricia Sturla Studios, talent representation, a feature spread in a magazine, and
many other fantastic prizes from sponsoring organizations. The special event, which is expected
to draw an audience of more than 2,000 people from all over Southern California, is open to the
general public. Patricia Sturla Studios, Inc. has pledged to donate a portion of the

founder and president Patricia Sturla. "At the same time," she adds, "we wanted to create
something useful and educational as well as socially relevant, not just for our own students, but
for all the kids in our community." Sturla said she and her production team chose to work with
HARK at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, in recognition of their unique and important
mission: uplifting the spirits and nurturing the creative minds of children when they need it the
most and expect it the least.

The idea of producing a new beauty and talent contest came to Sturla and her staff during a
recent student showcase, when they started giving out prizes to the best models and
performers. "Our showcases are already very lively and successful events, but introducing a
little competition made all the difference, not just in the students, but also in the audience. The
enthusiasm and cheering went through the roof, and the energy in the room was simply
amazing," explains Sturla. "A healthy competitive spirit is definitely a major asset for anyone
aspiring to work in the challenging world of entertainment, and we believe that it's never too
early to teach our kids how to build confidence and self-esteem, especially when they can have
fun doing it."

Expanding on the traditional concept of a gender-segregated beauty pageant, Sturla and her
team envisioned a mixed, co-ed talent competition, where boys and girls would get to know
each other and train as a group, cheering each other on, socializing, and making new friends,
just like they would naturally do in any of the classes offered at the studios. In preparation for
the May event, all registered contestants will participate in a month-long training and rehearsing
at Patricia Sturla Studios. "Most kids are born performers," says Hans Kowoll, Event
Coordinator at Patricia Sturla Studios Los Angeles, "and they have great fun learning how to
model, dance, and handle themselves in front of a live audience." He comments: "We know
we've done our job when the parents realize how much this kind of training will help their kids in
their private and professional lives, whether or not they will end up pursuing a career in
entertainment."

"Belleza Juvenil Internacional is an important milestone in our company history," adds
Patricia Sturla, "and we're thrilled to be able to give everybody the opportunity to participate,
showcase their talent, and make valuable professional contacts with top entertainment experts.
We definitely hope it will become a yearly tradition."

The general public can obtain more information by calling the Los Angeles and/or the
Orange County studios directly, at (213) 480-3049 and/or (714) 491-7237.
