Errata: EPA’s 1995 Acid Rain Database CO2 Emissions contained errors for two Florida plants, the Lauderdale and Martin plants. It appears that EPA mistakenly inserted Heat Input numbers into the CO2 emissions columns. The corrected Florida numbers for Appendix 2 are below. This error changes the overall CO2 increases between 1995 and 2000 from the 500 dirtiest power plants to a 13 percent increase, or a total increase of 277 million tons. Instead of emitting 71,000 tons of NOx in 1995, it actually emitted 12,000 tons of NOx. Thus, the plant increased rather than decreased its NOx emissions over the last five years.
