The Gyeonggi Women's Development Center (GWDC) is a nationally and internationally recognized non-profit organization established by the Gyeonggi Provincial Government in Korea, dedicated to empowering women through integrated training and support programs. Over the past 12 years, the GWDC has become a leader in providing a wide range of innovative programs designed to promote competent, responsive and creative leaders in the knowledge society. The GWDC's programs and services are so well recognized that other organizations across the nation have used the GWDC as a model for their own efforts. The GWDC's other groundbreaking program is business incubation, which uncovers and assists women owned enterprises with prospects. It is exemplary, and has a distinctive history in changing the landscape of public policy. As the organization has grown and matured since its founding in 1997, GWDC has earned a reputation for quality, comprehensive, and responsive programming and support for women who are not afraid to face a challenge.
