Nick Tiltman, an accomplished and well-regarded credit professional and fellow in both the Association of Credit Professionals and the Institute of Credit Management, readily admitted that, like many of his peers, he did not initially pursue a career in the credit field; rather, he was literally in the field working as a polo groom. Some 25 years after Tiltman's first foray into credit management, he is still at it. More recently, Tiltman accepted a board position as credit and customer services director for Computer 2000, which constitutes Tech Data's presence in the UK and is headquartered in Hampshire. Tiltman's admission that developing people is what fulfills him most, it's no surprise that he tangibly and explicitly supports the professional development of his staff. He is happiest when he is training people or helping implement a new program to drive business for the organization.
