Back in the 1980S when the concept of allstar cheerleading was in its infancy, two types of teams were in existence: ones made up of the best high school cheerleaders in surrounding towns and ones consisting of cheerleader hopefuls who still had a lot to learn before they could earn a spot on a school squad.
